Welcome back for Day 11 of our 12 Days of Christmas hop.

We are headed back to Bethlehem today as I have finished Mary! YAY! She turned out beautiful.

Mary is cut from the Winter Frolic Cartridge at 6 inches. For her scarf I cuttlebug embossed it with a Sizzix Christmas lace folder. Then I inked around all the pieces in Chocolate Brown Chalk ink. Her cheeks are hand colored with pink chalk ink. Then accented with Star Dust Stickles. 
She goes perfect with the rest of the Nativity. Next up are the animals. The Wise men don't come til later - since they technically weren't at the Nativity the first half.

Welcome back for Day 10 of our 12 Days of Christmas hop.

This is my son Declan's Gingerbread man. I used Winter frolic to cut this cute little Gingerbread guy. He is cut at 5 inches on the shadow feature. I used my Peachy Keen stamps in Winter White to stamp his cute face. Then I colored his face in with Gel pens - Glitter red and Gold. I accented him with some faux stitching and gave him buttons. He is going on our tree to watch over the kitten as they keep climbing higher.
I promise tomorrow more nativity but today was a crazy day in our house and I just couldn't get Mary finished in time. So Two pieces tomorrow. Stay tuned. I hope your Christmas preparations are going well. I am almost done. :) Just gift wrapping and clothes shopping to go. Oh and the kids want to see Santa. Always a fun time.

For today's project, I have next part of my nativity scene this year. 
The Donkey - now my 3 year old Declan was singing funny songs with this Donkey after he was finished. He learned the song No more monkeys jumping on the bed at preschool last year. Well He decided to change it to no more donkeys jumping on the bed. Okay so far we have

Now today we have the Donkey. My donkey is cut at the same 6 inches that all the rest of the Nativity has been cut at. I used my Bubbles Cricut folder to emboss his tail and mane. Then I used the Christmas Wreath to emboss the bird's wing. He turned out so cute. For his nose and ears I hand chalked those pieces to get them the right shade to match my Donkey.  Oh and who can't forget his googlie eyes. 

Isn't he cute? Tomorrow Mary and more Christmas fun!

First I would like to wish a Happy wonderful Birthday to my dear Scrapbooking friend Kristy! She is truly amazing! She has supported me all through Brighton's journey and I am so grateful for her. Thanks Kristy for always being supportive and wonderful. You are such a blessing.

Okay now onto my project I made a cute penguin card and a cute ornament card. This is your standard A2 size card.
For my Penguin I used Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge and cut my penguin at 3.5 inches. Then I used my Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder and embossed a sheet of white paper cut to fit the front of the card. I added some glitter and a cute candy cane ribbon. 

It is cute and simple. The inside says Happy Birthday as my son Kiefer's birthday is the same day as Kristy. He turns 9 today.

Now my 2nd project uses Snowflake Paper (Love the colors of this paper) and the Ornament on Winter Frolic but I didn't cut all the layers.  Instead I used a beautiful folder called the Christmas Wreath and embossed it. But I used opposite side. Then I took a beautiful bow sent to me by Lisa and accented it. For my sentiment, I used Cardz TV Stamps Classic Christmas  - Merry Christmas sentiment. I accented the sentiment with two rhinestones. (It had to have a little bling) I distressed it a little bit with some Gingerbread chalk ink.

The inside of it says Happy New Year.
I really love how it turned out.

For today's project, I have next part of my nativity scene this year. My wonderful husband got me Winter Frolic from Cricut Machine.com in October. I knew when he got it what I wanted to make. Yesterday I shared my shepherd. 

Today's project is Baby Jesus. I had so much fun making this portion of the project. He is cut at 6 inches. I again used my Cuttlebug to accent the hay. It is a simple piece but important. The center of Christmas. 

I stamped the middle of the manger with CardzTV Stamps Classic Christmas O Holy Night - I thought it was perfect considering it's a nativity. I LOVE how this is turning out. Each piece makes me smile more and more. My kids love it as I am sharing with them the Christmas story with each piece. 


Now for a yummy treat. My husband made these bars from Food Network and boy are they delicious. If you love chocolate and cheesecake - don't miss these bars.

For today's project, I have the start of my nativity scene this year. My wonderful husband got me Winter Frolic from Cricut Machine.com in October. I knew when he got it what I wanted to make.

For today's project is the Shepherd1. I cut him at 6 inches. He was a little hard to layer in Cricut Craftroom - Frankly the whole Winter Frolic cartridge is. So I decided to just use my E2. Note if you don't use Cricut Craftroom or your Gypsy you will need to cut layers multiple times. 
To enhance him, I chalked around the edges of the individual pieces with both Gingerbread VersaMagic Chalk ink and Spanish Olive Ink. To make him I used Recollections Signature Special Cardstock Paper Pad Holiday Traditions. I love this cardstock!

Welcome back for Day 6 of our 12 Days of Christmas hop.

Today's project is a simple card with Winter Frolic, ribbon, CardzTV Stamps, and a button.
Okay to start my project I opened up Cricut Craftroom which I love! The only thing I don't love is the layering for this cartridge but I figured it out. 

The Tag from Winter Frolic (my new favorite cartridge) is cut at 4 inches
Then I cut the sentiment mat - in Plaid Paper from DCWV   The Christmas Stack at 1.5 inches. I inked around the edges with Gingerbread chalk ink. (LOVE this color) 
Then I cut the Cream cardstock at 1.403 (Love that I can do that in Cricut Craftroom) inked around it with Gingerbread ink again and then stamped it with Cardz TV Stamps Classic Christmas stamp set Merry Christmas (I LOVE THIS FONT) in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain. 
Then I used a simple Christmas tree button (Isn't it cute) to accent the tag. 


It's simple but my husband said cute. He cracks me up. I love that he supports my crafting hobby. He doesn't understand it and when he goes into Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc. He reads twitter and the sports scores but he still will go with me. 


Now besides Mary's stamps that made this project super easy, I tried Zip Dry Paper Glue at the recommendation of my scrapbooking friend and store owner Kristi. It's the best!! Thanks Kristi, it made my project so much easier.

My project today is...

A joyful banner for Christmas. After all at Christmas time we all need joy, right? To make the banner I used a lot of cartridges.
But had fun doing it.

• The Banner pennant is from Celebrations cut at 6 inches
• Scallop is from the exclusive Cricut Craft Room cartridge Cricut Craftroom Basics.
• The Snowman is cut at 5 inches from Winter frolic
• The Font is from A Child's Year

I cut the banner from Bright Blue Cardstock, Snowman is cut from White cardstock, The Letters are in Let It Snow K and Company Paper Pack and inked with brown chalk ink. The ribbon is from Michaels and reads Happy Holidays. My snowmen faces are from Peachy Keen Stamps (my first set) YAY! Thanks Brenda. :)
