CardzTV Stamps "Say I DO" Challenge

Hi everyone, It's time for another fun CardzTV Challenge from Mary. She has challenged us to make a card, favor, or craft project for an engagement, wedding shower, or wedding. 

My card is for a wedding and I used the CardzTV Stamps set Happy Days.

This A2 size card was made with Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge using:

Cuttlebug Border Just My Type

Banner 1 is cut at 1 inches by 5.13 inches and you cut 4 of them

Circle 2 is cut at 1.75 inches in white and again at 2 inches in black

Flowers are Heart3 cut at 2 inches, 2.5 inches and the leaves are embossed as well.

My sentiment is stamped on the white circle2 and is in champagne ink and embossed. Then I added two pink jewels to accent it. This card was inspired from a card that I saw on Pinterest and wanted my own take on it. I love the embossing for this card.

Day Two


For today, we created a new card that we've been wanting to try.  We did embossing at an angle.  We used the sentiment "Wishing You Brighter Days".

Recipe for today's card: 

Card Base- We used Cricut rainbow card stock.
Inside lining for the top of the card paper- DCWV mariposa cardstack matstack.
For the embossing at the top of the card we used one of our Cuttlebug Sizzix from the Cindyloo collection.
Ribbon came from Michael's Recolletions dollar bin.
For the label we used #3 ornate from the sizzix labels.
Label paper- We used DCWV  paper from our scrap stack.
We also used Ranger buttercup liquid pearls.
For the ink we used Stampin Up Amarillo Soleado and the Stamp is from Hero Art Remember Series

Have a Blessed Easter

Good morning friends! I can't believe Easter is only a few days away!! My children can hardly wait to go to church and then afterwards have our annual Easter Egg hunt. I participated in a Spring Card swap and as part of the swap we had to make 6 cards to give to fellow homeschooling moms.
I just got Kate's ABCs and saw this bunny and had to make this card. 

I embossed the grass with a bird Cuttlebug embossing folder and then added Diamond Stickles to the butterfly and flower. I love how it turned out.  I hope you do, too. 

Then I used CardzTV Stamps Blessed Easter Set for the sentiment. 

On a side note:

I am taking a break from blogging starting next week as we have had a lot of family things happening and I want to devote myself more to my family during this time. I will have for you a few guest designers who have graciously decided to step in for me. You won't want to miss the projects from this talented group of ladies.

Welcome to the Cropped Challenge!!

Hi everyone and welcome to the Cropped Challenge. If you are new to Jen's challenge back in October it was her  blog-a-versary. She wanted to do something fun and often watches/listens to Chopped on Food Network
. If you've never seen the show, it's quite entertaining. Chefs get a basket of mystery ingredients with just a few minutes, and have to come up with an amazing meal. 
She posted on her Facebook page that I wanted to do something different and was looking for volunteers - and there were 8 ladies who were brave enough to join me in an unknown challenge!
It was such a hit that I've done it a few times since... Everyone seems to enjoy it and it's definitely a challenge to use these random products together... And so cool to see how everyone does it differently!

Here are the Rules:
The contents of the envelopes are:

1) Border strip, and a flower. Both were cut from my Cameo, and are white. You have discretion to add whatever color/texture to them; but they should be recognizable on your card. If you haven't made a flower like this before, let me know, I can try & put a video up or something... if you'd like to play, you can find them in the Silhoutte market - silhouette rolled rose

2) A toilet paper roll. Lots of people have been doing great things with them. You don't have to use the whole thing; and you can change the color. But I should be able to tell that there is some added dimension to some object on your card (for example, you punch or cut shapes or letters out of it).
3) Some Stampin Up! silver stamping glass. This is a really chunky glitter. You can do whatever you want with it but I must be able to see that some of it is on your card.
4) One more thing - not in your envelope. You must have some sort of texture evident on your card - you can use your cuttlebug, make lines with a scoring tool, whatever you want to do. But the card must have some texture (doesn't have to be on the whole card).

The only rules were:
You 1) can use any other items you like (card stock, bling, stickers, markers, stamps, etc) on the card. You clearly will need a card base 
2) You must use all of the items I sent you, and they have to be identifiable (but you don't have to use all of it in the card). 
3) This challenge only - you can change the color of any item I've sent you. They don't have to stay white.
 4) Card can be any size, and any fold you like.
 5) Card can be any theme you like....

I gave them a few weeks (just in case the mail was slow), and they created some phenominal cards!!! I have to say, when I was putting all of the pieces together, I couldn't imagine any cards as awesome as what was created!


My card today is a beautiful lavender card. First let me say thank you to Jen for this challenge. It causes you to think outside of the box and also causes you to put your creativity to work. Just as they do on the Food Network show.

The rose for my card was inked purple and the rolled up. I love this rose. Then I sprinkled the Stampin Up Silver Glass on top

The lattice cut was inked a light green in ink and then added to a piece of purple scrapbook paper. The paper was cut at 1 inch by 4 inches. 

I used my Cuttlebug folder by inking it first with the same purple ink and then running the lavender paper through the cuttlebug to get a more inked and dimensional look. Then I accented the flowers with diamond stickles. 

Next, I cut a beautiful butterfly out of the toilet paper roll and covered it in Mod Podge and then Martha Stewart Glitter. 

Lastly, I added some rhinestones to make it stand out even more.

I made a cute Easter Card for my project today. If you missed yesterday's project, don't forget to check it out as well. I just got the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge and it is sooo cute! I love all the cute birds and font. I can't wait to use it more often. Especially will the new line of stamps, Mary has just released. Both are a MUST have!!
My card is your standard A2 size card. I intended to make an easter basket as well but I'll be honest. My little almost 18 month old son is back in the hospital again for more metabolic issues. So I didn't get to finish as I spent today visiting him. But I promise I will finish and post shortly. 
To make this card I used some simple Easter paper from Target. If you aren't checking out their dollar section DO! They have some cute papers. I loved their Easter selection. It was TOO CUTE! 
My little bunny is cut at 3.5 inches. Then has Diamond Stickles on her ears. I then used my Cuttlebug Swirls embossing folder to emboss the egg. Then I inked around the edges with Lavender ink. 
I used CardzTV Stamps Easter Punnies - I'm all ears for my sentiment. It was just too cute. I also used my We R Memory Keepers Corner rounder to round my corners. This is definitely a must have as well on my list. I got it for a Steal on Scrapbook Steals. 


I added googlie eyes to make the eyes stand out and just glued it all together. I think it is super cute!

Day 2 Disney Gives Back Blog Hop

After learning of Crops of Luv, I contacted them and asked them if they would make an album for Jackson. I wanted the album to be special as I knew I couldn't do it justice. Each month Crops of Luv, does the same thing that they did for my son for other children. They make albums and provide smiles.

Here is part 1 which you all saw yesterday

My project for today is Part 2 of my beautiful 12x12 Disney Princess Layout.
It is made with the Happily Ever After Cricut Cartridge and Cricut Craft Room. 

For page two I used a beautiful Disney paper One says I believe in fairytales which every little girl truly does. Then I accented it with a beautiful Yellow paper with the castles from the princesses and with princess dresses on it. After seeing the paper, I knew I wanted to accent those beautiful embossed dresses. So I took one of the dresses from Happily Ever After and Embossed it with my Cuttlebug Swirls folder then I used Diamond Stickles on the top. The dress for Cinderella is cut at 5 inches. 

 Accents are simple jewels and a flower.
