Happy 4th Birthday Declan

Today is my son Declan's 4th Birthday!! I can't believe he is already four years old. Since the debut of the game Angry Birds - he can always be seen playing it. You will find him playing it on the Playstation 3, Roku, all of our phones. He's even been known to order Angry birds apps on the Kindle.  
So I decided after watching Dawn's Stampin Thoughts video on how to make an Angry bird with Stampin up punches that I could design it in Cricut Craft Room.
So I used George and Basic Shapes and Lacey Labels for this card.
I also used CardzTV Stamps "For The Birds" stamp set for the sentiment which reads A Little Birdie Told Me It's Your Birthday.
Declan loves his card so much that he hasn't stopped carrying it around the house. He is so funny!!

Inspirational Thursday - Bookmark

I will be honest, I don't feel like being inspirational today. But I felt that I should post something as I have all of you to be grateful for today. I made this beautiful bookmark for a wonderful friend of mine. I made it entirely using the new Cricut Craftroom. I definitely encourage you to check it out and not be intimidated by it.
To make this bookmark I used My Cricut Imagine
Cricut Cartridge used was George and Basic Shapes
The tag was cut in the Bright Peach paper from Imagine More at a height of 8.097
The floral paper tag was cut from Imagine More and George and Basic Shapes at 7.861
Flowers were all cut at 1.5 inches
For You was cut in brown at 1.083 then again in Blue at 1 inch.
I used CardzTV's Stamp set Encouraging Thoughts for the Sentiment.
Then pearls from Joann's for the flowers.

Today's project is a cute gift bag for any bride to give to her bridesmaids. It was made on my Gypsy with Tags, Bags, Boxes and More.
This really cute and simple Gift bag is cut at 5 inches in beautiful Sage Green Cardstock. You will want to use a very heavy weight cardstock to make this bag.
The scallop is from Celebrations with using the hide feature to hide the circle at the top and is cut at 2.5 inches.
Next I cut a simple Circle from George and Basic Shapes at 2 inches. I used my Gypsy to make sure that the circle would fit perfectly inside the scallop.
Then I stamped a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the wonderful Fiskars Wedding stamp set and colored it with my wonderful markers.
Next, I had to add some glitz. So I added Stickles to the center of each rose.
To assemble the gift bag, I ran it through my Cuttlebug Swirls folder.
The bag itself was very easy to assemble. Simple score on all your score marks with your Martha Stewart Score Board or Scor Pal.

It's really easy to assemble and quick. One of these will take you about 10 minutes to make.
Now the cute pink bow is from Lisa who is our blog hop host. She sent all of us a fantastic gift bag for being a part of the hop. I loved how it added color and made this bag pop.
To fill the gift bag you can go to Bath and Body works and get simple travel size products (hand lotion, hand sanitizer, etc.)
Okay now onto my Blog candy!! I love stamps so you will receive one of my favorite stamps from VERVE! The stamp is I can do all Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me. Verve has some of the highest quality stamps and fun designs.

Today I made a fun Thinking of You card with my 6 year old daughter. She picked the papers, stamps, and I put it together. We had so much fun! She loves sparkly things. So she picked the sparkiest paper that I had. 

The stamped images are from Inkadinkado again. I really love their stamps. I can't wait to get more of them for my collection. We used the Fiskars Embossing punch for the corners. Then my Cricut for the rectangles.

For blog candy I have some fun Easter Studio G stamps! I love Studio G stamps simply because they are affordable and come in so many different kinds.

For my project I made three different things. First let me say that I LOVE Valentines Day. I have the best Valentine ever. My wonderful husband Jason of almost 15 years. So for him this Valentines Day I made an Explosion Box. This was my first attempt to make this box. I was so intimidated by it before. But It was sooo easy, I made 2. One for a friend for her son's 1st Birthday and one for my husband. I plan on filling it with photos from when we were dating. 

 I decorated the box with papers from Pinecone Press from Crop Paper Scissors. Aren't they wonderful? The top of the box is decorated with Ribbon and a simple flowered jewel.To make your own box please check out the ScrapGuy. He has the best tutorial that made this box, super easy. I can't wait to make more. The inside has mats from my gypsy cut from George and Basic shapes at 2.36. It's my favorite project so far.

My next project is an altered Notebook. I got these cute notebook from the Dollar Tree. Then I simply covered them with adorable Paper from Bo Bunny. Then from Create A Critter I cut this cute little Terrier at 3 inches. Finally finished it with I love you Ribbon and Flowers from Recollections.

Lastly is a simple A2 Size Card cut at 

Card base: Simple Black Cardstock  - taking an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of cardstock, cutting it in half and scoring it at 5 1/2. 

A White Mat Cut at 4 1/2 by 4 1/2. 

Then a Hot Pink Mat cut at 2 1/2 by 2/12. 

Finally Hearts from Teresa Collins paper that say I love you at 3 inches, 2 1/2 inches, and 2 inches. Then Martha Stewart Ribbon.

My favorite part about this card was the Teresa Collins Paper and the hearts.   

I had a banner too but that didn't get finished in time. I ran out of Burgundy Cardstock. So watch for that on my blog next week.

Heart Squared Card

My card today is a called an Easel card. I had fun making this card using George and Basic Shapes Cartridge that came with my Baby bug.

I used the Making Memories, Jet'adore paper. (I love this line) and a piece of Brown cardstock for the base and black for the strip. It was a lot of fun to make. I have to admit this card was a bit out of my typical comfort zone. But it was a fun card to make and I will definitely make more!!

The squares on the card are cut at 2 inches. The large square is cut at 5 inches.
