CTV Challenge #8: April 20, 21, 22

"Color Me a Rainbow" Create a card or craft project for any ocassion using colors from the rainbow...pink, blue, green & yellow ONLY...you can also add small amounts of black & white.

For today's card I decided to make a Stair Step card. Now I have to say this is my favorite card that I have made this year. It was so easy and fun. I am making 6 more for a friend's benefit for church. I can't wait to finish them this weekend. 

Onto my card: 

You will need a piece of cardstock cut at 5 inches by 10 1/2 inches. Then you will score this piece of cardstock at 1.25, 2.5, 4.25, 6, 8.25

You will also need papers cut at 4.75 x1, 4.75 x 1/5 4.75x2.

I used Cricut Craft Room to design these papers as it was very hard to use my paper trimmer to cut at 1 inch.

Now onto the cartridges I used:

For the background paper I used the 

Cricut Imagine Best Friends Cartridge and printed the beautiful floral paper. I LOVE this paper.

Then I used a few more cartridges.

Create a Critter - Tulips cut at 2.25 and Rainbow cut at 3 inches

Princess Party Event Cartridge - Frog cut at 3 inches

Close to My Heart Art Philosophy - Sentiment - cut at 1.39 in baby blue cardstock and again in light yellow at 1.25 inches

My sentiment is from CardzTV Stamps "Think Spring" stamp set and stamped in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain. I like this ink because it stamps clean and clear. I tried to use the chalk ink from VersaMagic but it smeared and I didn't like the look.

My project today is a complete Cricut Imagine Project. It uses Cricut Best Friends for all images along with the Cricut Craft Room.
My first project is a beautiful purse from the Bonus Content. I simply added it to my page then clicked on fit to page. The hardest thing about this was the scoring but once I got it down - it was easy. Then I added a 3.5 inch princess, her sidekick Kitty as Carleigh calls her, and Your a Little Princess to the purse to give it a more personalized feel. I am using these as part of my daughter Carleigh's party decorations. I haven't decided what to fill them with yet. But I am sure I will think of something.

Next I made a Birthday card using the Cricut Imagine Best Friends making a standard A2 size card. For the mat I used the really like this green paper. 4.5 inches by 5.25 inches. Then I added the cute Balloon girl with this beautiful background at 3.5 inches. Finally I added a sentiment from CardzTV Stamps "It's a Guy Thing" (It was all I had that had Happy Birthday, plus I love the font). The inside has a personal message from me.
