Thankful Tuesday on a Thursday

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord. When you give thanks and have an attitude of gratitude it changes your perspective. In today's world where you hear a lot of bad news every time you turn on the television and the world is spiraling. It's important to remember you have a lot to be thankful for.

I am thankful for my friends and family. I have the best friends and the greatest family. I am going through a storm right now. But the Lord has surrounded me with support and encouragement every step of the way.

Giving Thanks in the middle of your storm will give you a whole new perspective. When you take the time to daily remember that although you are hurting, although things aren't perfect (they never will be), and everything isn't coming up roses. God is still good.  Your focus changes. Your thinking changes.

I am currently finishing up my first book. I'm so proud of this project. It's full of Sunshiny Thoughts teaching you to give thanks and look on the sunshiny side of life. If you'd like more information on my upcoming book check out my Facebook page.

I hope you will take time today to count your blessings.

Blessings,

Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday!!
I hope your Thursday finds you doing well. It is a beautiful sunny day here in beautiful AZ. I give thanks for the sunshine but not the heat. We are at 110 plus degrees right now and I am wishing we were at 80. But it is a small price to pay for having no snow to shovel.
Today is Thankful Thursday. Growing up I remember my mom telling me the Bible verse in Psalms 92 which reads: "It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to the Most High.
It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning,
    your faithfulness in the evening,
accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp,
and the melody of a lyre.

God delights in the praises of his people. While he knows what is going on in your life, He wants you to say thank you for what He has done. There are a lot of things to give thanks to the Lord for.
You can give thanks for your family, your church, and your friends. I give thanks for my stove which cooks food for my family or but especially my washer and dryer that help me keep my family's clothes nice and clean.

What are you thankful for? I encourage you to take time to say thank you to the Lord for what He has done or is doing in your life today!!

Have a blessed Thursday!

Thankful Thursday

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."
1 Chronicles 16:34

Every day I am reminded to give thanks for the blessings in my life. I have 8 wonderful children. I loving husband who is supportive, compassionate, and caring. He is an amazing provider for our family, a wonderful dad, and makes me laugh and smile.
I am thankful for food on our table. I love how God provides for our family and reminds us day after day that He holds everything in His hands.
I am thankful for good friends and restored friendships. Throughout my life, I have been blessed to have many friends. But few close ones and I am grateful for restoration and that when hurt feelings are had that God can help heal those and make a friendship new again.
I am thankful for my business. The Lord is blessing it and I feel so grateful to Him. I give Him alone all the praise and glory.
I am thankful for fall. I love this time of year! I love to watch the leaves change color and see how God paints each leaf a beautiful hue of color.
I am thankful for the gift of homeschooling. I love that I get to teach my children every day. I get to see those light bulb moments and watch them learn and grow.

I guess I just am overall very thankful. Every day I am reminded to sit and count my blessings not my losses. To remember that the Lord has everything in His hands.
