My project is a Card with the most romantic object that I know - the Eiffel Tower.  However the closest that I have gotten to it is in Las Vegas....I hope to one day see it in person.

Monday Thoughts - Sophia the First Birthday Celebration

Hi Friends,
I trust that you had a blessed weekend. Our family spent the weekend celebrating our daughter's 10th birthday. It is so hard for me to believe that she is now 10 years old. This year she wanted a Sophia the First birthday celebration. So I went to work on what would work for her decorations. Upon visiting Pinterest and a few other sites I got the ideas for her party and went to work.

I created a banner for her from a kit at Hobby Lobby. I actually bought it for Christmas but with all the medical stuff that we were dealing with - didn't get time to design it. When I saw it still sitting on my shelf, I knew the perfect idea for it.
I bought the cuts for the banner from SVG Cuts. It is from their Princess Party SVG Kit.

To accent it I added jewels, Gel pen design around the castle and Heart and pennants. I also added my favorite Diamond Stickles. I really need to always have this handy. I can tell you this one bottle goes a long way.


Next we wanted a photo booth. To make the photo booth I bought a pink rectangle table cloth from the Dollar Tree and tacked it to a big wall and then twisted two colors of crepe paper to make a border. Then I added a Royal Photos Sign with my Cameo. The cuts are just simple label shapes which you can search and find easy in the Silhouette store. I used a Black Chancery font for the Royal Photos which is a little hard to cut so make it larger if you can.

We also had lips, mustache, sunglasses, a princess crown, and party hat glued to a dowel (thanks Nicolette) and then the kids could grab them and head to the photo booth to take whacky photos. They loved this!! I placed them in a small formula can next to the booth (I love to recycle) and then the kids could just grab them and smile.
These were various cuts from the Silhouette store and cut at about 5-6 inches. When you do this watch how big your cuts are as you want them to work with your subjects.
I also found some cute feather boas and beads to the table for them to just have fun. We even have our own little diva - Felicity who loved the photo booth and kept taking her picture every chance she could get.

As you can tell the kids loved going to the Royal Photo Booth for photos and were super silly. This is part of my bunch....they are so silly. I love them so much!!

Our punch was a princess punch with Hawaiian Punch, 7 up, and Mango Sherbet. It was such a hit that we barely had any left by the middle of the party. We also made chocolate dipped pretzel rods dipped in white chocolate and princess glitter. (Gold sprinkles) These were also a HUGE hit.

Overall the party was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast!!
